Last January David Cameron organised the UK Nordic Baltic summit, at which his personal friendship with the Swedish prime minister and fellow Conservative leader, Fredrik Reinfeldt, was clearly matched by a growing interest in that favourite of left-leaning thinkers, the Swedish model.
